Thanks Meridian for taking us out in the Scoob. :)

Least I could do after experiencing Warp Drive in yours! I'm just annoyed that mine was so far down on what I expected (390-400), but I'll see what I can manage for the next one. And I'll echo the thanks to Conanius for doing all the hard work - well done mate.

Well I plan on coming next time with a 1.4l car running completely stock parts, just to see what it pushes out after 19years, and how ever many miles are on the clock.

haha, I'd feel more than a little red faced getting mine on the rollers infront of some of these other cars ;) I should be sorted for next year though hopefully :D

I will have to make the next one... but before that buy a car worth putting on the dyno - don't think the 1.6 100bhp Focus will be worth the effort! Maybe the 1043cc MKII Polo will be up and running by then!! Ill put L1J's engine in it when he is bored - now that would look funny on the dyno!

You'd be surprised. Having my modestly powered, standard diesel A6 on the rolling road was great fun if a little unnerving when I saw how many 'faults' the car was reporting afterwards! Modern cars do not like seeing the front wheels doing 120mph whilst the rear wheels are at a standstill!

The polo it is then - no engine management to complain after a good thrashing!

ABS system just thinks the rear sensors have broke.

Front wheels are going 100mph and rears arent moving.

Ok - no ABS on the polo so nothing to complain after a good thrashing!

All the BMW's had the DSC, ABS and handbrake amber lights on afterwards too.

They went out after a while though... although my brake pad warning light came on while I was taking Chris out for a ride at the pub, more expense :(

Only problem with these days is they turn out ot be expensive, I'm already adding up things to get done for next time....

Sadly "buy a new car" would be the easiest :) Strangly I have a compulsion for an Impreza, must have been sublimal advertising somewhere or something, can't think where I've seen a room full of them lately :p

In hindsight it's amusing to think of us BMW drivers frantically driving around the block trying to clear the plethora of warning lights but it was quite scary at the time :p

Just can really echo what every one has said, really good day out

ot a couple of pictures of the stang, couple of the Fiat Coupe and a couple of Drex's. think I have a rover too... put the camera away when it was raining, so didn't take many.

Cheers all had a good day, the "got lost and drive mental" bit was fun, even though I had no real experiance in my car yet, I certainly have some now :p

My electronic handbrake didn't start working again until we got to the pub.

"Beeeeeeep" parking brake failure "Beeeeeeep" ABS failure "Beeeeeeep" ESP failure :(

Definitely an excuse to get mine remapped for the next RR day now I've got a basis for comparison. I'm actually impressed with my torque figure though - 332Nm which is more than the 6 cylinder petrols were getting.

Those white STIs looked fantastic. I wonder what a 'pre-fettled' Impreza from Lichfield/Powerstation costs...
