OCUK RR Day 6 - The Results Thread - PDF's of Dyno's Inside !!

Btw Simon, if you were following me when I turned off of the motorway, I apologise. I had no idea where I was going, I just wanted to pull over to set the sat nav!

:D

Just got back - mental weather around here meant I was driving through a good cm of standing water for a lot of the way down the M61 from Berger's.

Good to see the old faces, good to meet some new people too :)

Cheers Conanius!

Anyone got any pics yet? I took some on Wayn0rs camera buts hes gone off out, including some very shaky in car pics of parts of our "detour".

Paradigm (where did he go after his run?) took some of mine on cymatty's camera... but who really wants to see an old Rover?

Me! :p

I thought that was the right way then when Will stayed on I knew I must have been wrong. So I 'quickly' rejoined and got in front to be the blind leader again :D

Remember a car is only as fast as it's driver

Don't know what you mean, what is this 'lost' you speak of? :o :D

I was using Si's white teg as a marker as to where to pull off and I lost your conoy on one of the roundabouts, I took a different exit.

Turns out I inadvertantly took the right exit, but I turned around as I thought you all knew where you were going :p It was only when I got halfway back down the road Gareth and the rest of the cars were comign back up, oops.

So back down to the roundabout, another 180 turn, and back up the road. Again.

It was funny though when you came off at J11 then straight back on again, flew right infront of me and into the fast line right up a people carriers chuff.

Great meet again guys :D

I got some video footage on my Mini-DV cam, probably process it next weekend and get a video up. I didn't get many runs though so don't expect anything amazing ;)

lol :p It got there in the end.

I've just looked at the little bit of footage I got (2 minutes worth :()

I stopped filming after the first run was aborted. Be good if anyone has the full run though. Did sound pretty sweet in the short clip that I've got.

Was it ignition problems? I saw you removing one of the HT leads :)

I don't know if I have the full run, probably the first few tries then the actual run. Too tired to look at the cam now :p

It was actually the boost spiking and causing the ECU to cut the spark to save damage to the pistons (standard boost cut is 14.7psi).

Nah, I didn't remove an ignition lead (you think I'd do that with the engine running? :p ), I was just removing the pipe from the boost controller and turning it down a touch.

Just me being greedy you see... I thought if I have it boosting a touch over 12psi it'd get me a bit more power. I didn't plan on the dyno being witty and causing it to overboost... didn't get that problem on the road, it seemed to hold pretty stable.

Ok, should we use this as the pictures thread too?

I'll start shall I? I didn't actually take any pictures today, so these are the only ones I have... courtesy of Paradigm and cymatty.
