That's a bit eye opening, with the 3090/6900XT not even 40% faster at 1440. Shame we've seen price regression and Total Inability To Supply Upcoming Products, or TITSUP, if you will

Yeah. Its made me think I'm happy to go for a 6700xt at under £500 and save the £250 from a 6800 for a future upgrade sooner than I would normally. 17% performance for an extra £2-300 for the 6800 doesn't seem like a good deal(not that there are any of those in the current market). Different story of you could get it at msrp

Picked up a 6700XT to have a little play with and it's a cracking card! Quite impressed, and not too bad when you realise they're 2080Ti level of performance (with more vRam :p)

Its worth it for me, £450 RTX 2070 Super to a £420 6700XT (RRP) i'm gaining 25%, 100 / 80 = 1.25 (25%)

Its not that bad when you look at it that way

What gets my about this is how tightly these GPU's are clustered together.

The RX 6800 is 17% faster
The RTX 3080 is 28% faster
The 6800XT is 32% Faster

Like Really???? 20 - 30% Is that worth it?

I don't think anyone in their right mind was disputing it was a midrange card, being perfectly capable in all available games, it's the price situation which makes it very mehhh.

using the above example of someone with a 2070 super, if you pick up a 6700xt for £420 and safely sell your old card to a second hand shop for £340, the cost of upgrade is £80 to £90 with postage, that's not bad

Also (notionally) less than half the price. Let's not make this mess of a release something to justify the 2080Ti :p

Some AIB 6700xt where I am are priced the same as 2080ti was at launch, makes buying the 2080ti 2 years ago look like a bargain. There were some reference 6700xt that were the same price as a second hand 2080ti ($1100) but gamers nexus said the reference card is rubbish and they're all gone now, only the $2000 AIB still in stock. Just don't ask me why a AIB 6700xt is double the price of a reference one, probably the AIB or store is taking the ****
