Disagree or argue with another poster - Disagreement is natural and useful. Arguing (in good spirit) is also good. Arguing in a non-constructive way I agree should be out or moderated.
Criticise someone else's point of view - If it's done with the right intent and with fact and respect, no issue. But people must respect others' right to their PoV, even if wrong, and if they can't be respectful, moderate it or ban them.
Use disparaging, offensive or harsh language - No need for that anyway, it should be moderated.
Use nicknames, euphemisms or name-calling - As above, shouldn't be here anyway.
Discuss topics related to sex, religion or politics - We shouldn't censor topics just because some may be sensitive to them. The only thing that makes sense to censor is things that are illegal or extremely indecent (i.e. NSFW or children etc.) and of course, competitor talk...
Use microaggressions - what is this?

I think now, more than ever, it's important to hear all views, give everyone respect and be open-minded. The tribalism and social media bubble problems we have now are really negatively impacting society and people's lives, we should keep that out of here if we can. Just my view of course, the owners and moderators get the final say since it's not a democracy.
 
Mebbe OP should have placed a big bag of meaty bones right at the entrance. Less growling, etc...

Most of the forum will still be up for discussion. Sports, motors, music, TV etc, A-Z of computing, SC and the rest of GD.

@Lysander - great idea imo. It doesn't have to be called Safe Space, but generally a troll-free thread. People troll in some of the GD threads and I do it too, but I know that there are threads that people shouldn't be trolling. So here would make a great place, and it could link in with the Mental Health thread too.

According to my old edition of the Kama Sutra, that bedding instinct was more pertinent to less-populated times. Some folk failed to get a copy. Thank god for modern Chemistry.

That is a good shout. It is far too tempting especially with the gold mine of trolling data contained in the Relationship and Hugs thread. Every now and then we get some idiots posting in the Watch thread saying they don't wear watches. And of course the Trainer thread, where I have been holding off making fun of Psycho Sonny. This would take away my temptation.
