Sorry to go off topic guys but rather than a new thread, i am looking for a new CPU cooler and i was wondering what people recommended as you clearly are overclocking your chips etc so your using good cooling.

Looking to spend around £20 or so. On the stock cooler and my i5 2300 i am on 77c which is quite hot?

Cooler master hyper 212 plus, or the new hyper 212 evo. A little better than the tranquillo, and cheap. It is also capable to mount 2 fans. Or the Titan Fenrir, performs even better.

Let me in please

Built yesterday.

Retail SB i7 2600k
OCZ 1000w Gold PSU
Asus Maximus Extreme Z
16Gb Corsair Vengeance clocked at 1866MHz
2Gb 6950 Crossfire

Not tried it any higher.

My 5ghz, still playing around with things, fairly confident I could get it to post long enough for a PI run above 5.2ghz. Still testing stablility with this clock, strangely enough 100x50 needs in excess of 1.45v to be even close to IBT stable, buy 102.1x49 is 10 IBT runs solid so far, will give it 30-50 runs later and see how I get on:

Having trouble keeping a 4.6 stable OC, but that didnt stop me from testing out 5ghz. Still it needed more volts that i wanted, managed to lower it to 1.432 but any less it fails make it to the desktop.

I did go for higher than 5ghz, but kinda forgot resetting cmos turns off ahci on the sata ports, so most my failed booted were nothing todo with the oc! its late i'll try another time.
