[OcUK Staff Builds] rjkoneill's TJ07

I've wanted to get soem of the Koolance Quick Disconnects but find it tricky to find anywhere that sells the non-drip ones.
Also some of the ones that actually screw into something (cpu block, rad, res, etc.) might be nice, but they don't seem easy to find either. I think I'd need VL3s for my tube diameter.

Why don't OcUK stock them!?
In fact OcUK's WC hardware seems pretty limited in most departments really :(
RJK, you need to sort that out! (Since you obviously know what you're doing with WC kit) :)
 
Very nice. Where have you mounted the LED Strip? It's giving some cracking light. Really tempted by the tinted side window. Looks pretty good. You got any pictures without the LED strip on with the tinted window and those without? Just bog standard pics without any photography wizardry?

we wont ever do koolance, its too expensive and hard to obtain.
however watercooling is on the up and I am the purchaser for that group. its safe to say, its in safe hands.

the led is in the roof. top corner closest to the windowed side panel.
the tinted window looks incredible. make sure you get the tinted roof window too as it really completes the look. the pics of the system with the 480 in the whitebox show it perfectly [look a few pages back]

none of my photos have any photoshopping done. i use a £70 sony camera and i cant use photoshop to save my life. :D

may post pics soon of the current setup.

Why did you sell the luminous panel? (especially for so cheap :eek:)

and I saw the explanation of the GPU tubing bit, but still can't get my head around it :confused:

If it goes straight through, then how does the GPU get ANY flow at all? does it take hours of finding the correct speed on the pump and can this be achieved reasonably quickly with a D5?

And is that an LED strip IN the tubing?

Last question... did you get a tinted side panel aswell? I've been hesitating over getting a phobya one :p

Just wanted to post saying what a awsome build on your new revision link, cannot believe how quiet it was, all i could hear in the video was you moving around :). Threads like yours realy want me to do a water cooling build :D

it was sat in my computer room in its box doing nothing.
i cant see myself using it now so it may as well have gone to a good home :)

i will explain properly in a thread in watercooling one day. just need a chance to set it up.
google "parallel flow XtremeSystems" and it should give you a better understanding.

no just the reflection of the leds on the tygon.

Today is a sad day

Today we say goodbye to my GTX480s

the cards have both met an untimely demise and are making their way to RMA heaven.

a full rebuild is on the cards.

nope, they just stopped working in sli properly.

i have my system up and running. not ideal but functional

i will post pics of my new hardware when i get a chance

unfortunately not, a single 590 is more than enough for me
it plays battlefield at max res easily with about the same performance as my 480s
