[OcUK Staff Builds] rjkoneill's TJ07

Well, my 07 had a tinted side window and the look really made the case look stealth.
The 07 window that pulse modding do is a perfect copy of the oem part but in a sublime tinted black. I have sent my stock 11 window off so that a tinted version can be made. This will give the case a more uniform and understated look.

I have also got onto Silverstone about some spares as my power switch array was broken in transit.

Things are coming together slowly, the problem with the 11 is that I have only ever built two of them whereas with my 07 I had built loads of them which made me very familiar with the layout. I don't plan much and do a lot of visualising projects in my head, so one time spent assessing the 11 is critical to the success of this project.

07 window is taller and thinner
11 window is smaller and wider

Got the case 2nd hand yes but it's immaculate

what was the total cost of this build? and what is the purpose of the cooling at the bottom?

it was mentioned in the thread somewhere. because the hardware has changed that much, it is hard to say an exact total.

when it was black and white, it cost around 3k
then when it was blue it was around 5k mainly due to the cost of the cpu.

in its current state, it is probably not even worth 2k as i scaled it back loads. but the cost of the watercooling was in the region of £900

the fans at the bottom cool the watercooling radiatorswhich makes the water cool down. a pump sends this cold water to the blocks which cools the components down and the cycle repeats.

watercooling is fun and easy ;)

I have started a new project with a new case in this section too. it will explain watercooling a little better than this as I aim to make it a bit easier for a beginner to follow :)

well. what a polava

SLI = USS Disaster.

swore i wasnt going to bother with multi GPU again but i have been reading lots about parrallel flow and wanted to try it out.

plus with crysis2 coming out i needed a bit more horsepower to run my monitor.

got some bitspower SLI connectors to join the two cards.

few snaps of the interior of the system. had to move the sound card and remove one EK backplate as it was shorting
the board is a UD4 now rather than the pro, going to change again soon so not keeping it in there too long anyway.

not really happy with it how it stands but it was more of an experiment to see if the flow layout worked as well as it should.

here is a gpu temp graph to give you an idea with both cards at stock...
short bash on crysis 2 at 2650X1600 with everything on max - running around like a fool and causing lots of trouble to get the cards working :D

GPU temps are identical. really happy i tried this, it looks neater and performs better

This looks the absolute nuts, i want mine like that now :D

i know this is a very old thread but i'm hoping someone can help me.
are you able to screw the Lian Li drive bay covers into the TJ07 case or are they just pushed in snug?
thank you
