****** OcUK Starcraft II 1v1 Tournament 5 Official Thread ******

With my zerg off racing today, I played against a silver leaguer... It was an interesting reminder of just how huge a skill gap there is between silver league and even gold league. I never really experienced it as I first learnt the game as protoss as once I learnt the 4gate build order, it only took me a few days to get to from bronze to platinum :d

Anyway, kind of went off on a tangeant, but in conclusion, frank, you should be ashamed losing to a silver leaguer :p

I wondered why ordinaryjoe kicked my ass the other night... now I know

Would mind getting involved in some of this but only silver rank 5 in 3 vs 3. Don't really play 1 vs 1 but can have a go i suppose

:D awesome! Gonna have another tournament after this one's done at some point a few weeks after, but it'll probably be restricted to a weekend or something. I kinda forgot how annoying it can be trying to get these games played :p

EDIT: GGs! I rather enjoyed Kamwah's "take the entire south side of the map" approach to antiga shipyard :p

I think the quali games especially the later brackets should've been a bo5 as well and maybe final bo7. The time you spend getting the play the games and they're over in like 20 minutes. Maybe for next series initial games bo3 and later QF/semis Bo5?
 
Well since it's been a week now and ordinaryjoe seems to have disappeared off the face of the earth I'm happy to just bring this tournament to a close. :)

So, congratulations to frankmcg, shame we didnt get to see the epic BO5 TvP action :D

Not sure if this is going to happen again soon, perhaps we'll just restrict it to a weekend whether people can do it or not. At least we can then do it more often and not have months of waiting around each time :)

(although if you guys do want to play a BO5 exhibition match and post the replays that would still be awesome ;))

Ashame it's come to this seeing as Joe is on skype nearly every night.

It's hard to get a hold of Frank though T_T

I agree with Joe, he's easily gotten hold of through Skype or ingame. I found Fragger to be hard to get hold of.
