Quite a few of us are interested in torches so i thought i'd make a beamshot thread so people can see how bright they are in actual use.

If you own any torches feel free to add your own.

That was my first reaction, then I realised he's trying to show how wide the beams of light are from various torches, and then I thought this:

When you live in a small village thats pitch black at night its nice to have a few lights at hand for going out at night with the dog,and yeah i kinda collect the odd one or two.

I'm sure one or two other flashaholics will turn up.

Here's an idea. Walk the dog during daylight hours.

Have a look at the second shot (the one done by the Solarforce L2P) and then quarter the brightness, then you have the most powerful maglight brightness. The large D cell ones are good as weapons, rubbish as torches...

Ahh, Fenix, I love my TK12. Bulletproof and bright enough to use as an off road biking light.

Yeah that's not always possible, particularly in winter months. Some impressive beams there I suppose although being a city folk I'd have zero use for one bar shadow puppets

I like the "pitch black" its beam is nice and stealthy.
