OcUK TrackDay: Donnington 22nd August - £135!

Pics please guys!

You asked for it. Only stopped by for an hour or two on the way home but nice to say hello and watch some racing. Not 100% sure who everyone was/if they were on OCUK so took pics off pretty much anything:p

I have a few short videos that will be uploading later/tomorrow.

Loads of photos, so the rest are here:

Seeing those photos takes me back to the first OcUK track day meet nearly 10 years ago. Where does the time go!?!?

Hi there

The car was sublime, track manners were not so great today got held up a lot but the 911 was quickest car all day bar right at the end when a yellow kit car had the edge, but was miles quicker than the 996 GT3's and slowly gaining on a 997 GT3. So yeah feel much better and confident inspiring though it did get mental sideways through craners at 100+ and got a good pendulum effect but just managed to hold it. :)

Had an absolute blast! Good to meet all you guys off here and thanks for the pics Blackhawk :)

I'm glad no one managed to get a pic of my beautiful 360 spin lol.

Had great fun on track and the auto supra is pretty damn nice to use! Surprised me a lot actually. Especially as this was my first time at donington and on track in my own car.

That s2000 was a muppet though, it was like he was on a Sunday drive but taking the racing line, just so slow!

Those 328is can go too! Thanks for the passenger rides aswell guys, definately will be up for going again, I need to fix my diff cooler leak now though lolz

And yes gibbo that slide was epic, can't wait to see the vid. Never seen you so shocked before! Iv got some cool vids too. Will upload tomorrow.

Big slide! :D

Though on video it looks rather time, but from the passenger seat I can tell you it was a lot of correcting going on LOL.

lol nice vid, i have slides like that on a regular basis on the commute to work, ****in falken 452s and 300bhp through the front wheels not a good combo. Looked like a fun day.

Fantastic evening, had so much fun. Was a bit concerned about the car, setup was done very much last minute and it had handled like a pig before hand since the rear end swap. Turned out brilliant though, really happy.
Might have had a bit too much fun though and now need brake pads and rear tyres :p

On the topic of brake pads, everyone here was right, greenstuff suck badly. I totally cooked them twice, and had to be a girl in the braking zones all evening in an effort to stop them form overheating. Must buy better pads.

Carbotech XP10's are horrible for everything but performance (noise and dust a killer).

I turned my calipers from bright red to maroon and boiled castrol srf, but the pads were fine :D
