I've been tempted by VR for a while...but wouldnt wanna get one and find I get motion sickness or end up feeling dizzy .....but...very tempted .

Also I assume I wouldnt need the use the hand conrollers as I could just carry using my G29 ?

One eye? Sure :p

Hahaha :p

I'm really gutted I didn't jump on the 1070 when it was released - With the prices/limited stock due to the miners, I'm a bit out of luck :p

But seriously... how bad of an experience could I expect with a 970? It seems to handle any game I throw at it still - even at 1440p... But I know VR is a different beast.

970 is fine for most VR titles, playing Startrek Bridge Crew with mine

Yes to the 980Ti that's what i have and i run 1.5SS in most games.

What a ****** deal, this is cheaper than I got my second hand one a while back...If I hadn't already picked one up I'd be on it like a car bonnet...

Damn that's a big price drop. Makes me wonder when the next gen stuff is out.

Big push for those on the fence though.

More likely the bottom has dropped out of the VR market and they need to shift units. You only have to look at the lack of posts in the VR forum. It was reported ages ago they are making a loss on the Rift. Had to happen eventually. Soon they will be giving them away with the top end GPU's. Mark my words!

Seems the rift has good support for racing games (Asseto, pCars, DiRT Rally, rF2 although in beta atm) so may be jumping in on this!

Do it, the Rift is awesome for racing games

That doesn't change the fact it's awesome and at this price cheaper than a good number of gaming monitors...you'll get hours of fun out of one of these bad boys...mark my words! lol

Hello mate, can you please help me to determine what other perpherals, cables and the like I would need to order?
I have a Z87 MSI mobo which should have enough USB3 ports...
Would it help to bump my 8GB to 16GB RAM?
