The £ price does include VAT. The $ price doesn't because different states charge different tax

edit: I might be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that's right because when you change from US to UK it changes from "does not include tax and shipping" to "does not include shipping"

this is where that $300usd investment would have been handy a few years ago...
