Managed 30kg on the OHP today.

My target was 3x10, managed to get out 9,7,7.

Question. Rather than stopping after completing my 9,7,7 reps and moving on to next exercise, I decided to do a 4th set to make up for the 7 reps I was short, and managed a further 5 reps.

This is perfectly fine right? Nothing wrong with it?
What have you done?!! MAJORRRR overtraining, dude. Now all your muscles have just fallen off...

I havent ignored anything. I have had a look but need to have another look as at the moment Im either at work, or dont get home untill late.

I need time to look at it...

I'm due to try squats this evening.

Edit: as ever, please prove us all wrong by trying squats and taking videos from the angles that have been asked for.

Sometimes I say to myself I want 5x5, others i might say I want 25 reps and will do as many sets as it takes to get it (as long as there are no single reps).

Both are good if used in the right routine with an appropriate resistance.
 
Managed to increase my bench to 47kg now! May not sound a lot, but I have NEVER got this high. My previous max was 42.5kg, so I'm smashing it as I should be at such puny weights.

Have a feeling I will be at 47.5kg for a while as it was a fight.

Does the bench activate the shoulder? Becuase I felt my shoulders firing during the lift?

Also having moved up weight on the bench, it affected my OHP.
