I'm a bit confused as to how one can spam an off-topic thread, surely as an off-topic thread its contents are by its very nature spammy, thats why they are in here not other threads :p

It's not just here though Fox, its nearly every thread that he posts in.

why would someone with a Monaro crave an astra?

I had an Astra VXR before the Monaro and I loved it. I wouldn't get rid of my Monaro for an Astra VXR though, it just made me remember how much I enjoyed owning one. Cheap as chips now too. Shame it would be nigh on impossible to find a standard unabused example these days.

why would you want a standard unabused one ? your old one was neither ;)

Boardering on the line of spamming now hurf.

I'd cut the whole mod speech. Any further posts will be deleted and infractions/suspension handed out where required if you continue to do so.

I'm not posting to stick up for him, but why are you going to ban him for his funny posts that are pretty much confined to just this thread?

I think the way he words himself is absolutely excellent!

TBH the whole debate is boring, complaints and moaning is more frustrating to read than a "tired" joke.

No need to point out the irony of my post.

THERE IS IRONY IN YOUR POST

I will discuss matters with my team and loyal supporters and address this issue at a future date.

No. He is actually a good poster but then he ruins his good posting with his stupid hurf for mod comments. Like a broken record!

Like I said, it was 120 minimum, could easily have been testing the 155mph limiter.

I seem to remember a thread not too long ago where someone was taken to task over driving 50mph past stationery traffic, I fail to see how this is any different. The principle is exactly the same.
I did 150mph on the M20 on the way to the RR at 7am on a Saturday morning.
That was a stupid thing to do and very dangerous, even though there were 3 lanes.
Why? Because other road users are not expecting someone to be flying along at very high speeds.

In Germany, however, I have driven at length at over 120mph on what you call 'dual carriageways' and it was perfectly safe.
Why? Because on the whole, German drivers are much more aware of their surroundings on the Autobahn and are MUCH more careful before they change lanes.
Sure, there are always exceptions and I've had to slam on the brakes from 130mph and the ABS kicked in when someone pulled out in front of me further down the road. But it doesn't happen very often, and even though there's no speed limit, there are plenty of times where trying Vmax isn't safe!

FWIW, the vast majority of Germany's unrestricted Autobahn network is on the older two lane motorways and I think it's perfectly safe.
As PMKeates says, if you're trundling along at 130km/h in the right-hand lane, there's no reason for you to wander into the other lane without checking your mirrors properly so I can't see how driving at 300km/h in the fast lane should be a problem.

I don't know what I'm more tired of; hearing that, or hearing 'stand and bang' shoe-horned into every other post.

stand and bang, is mighty tedious, it's the bloke at the pub who comes out with same cliché every time you see him and inevitably gets avoided, actually that's what the ignore list is for: done
