Actually qualification wise I am still stuffed but today was the last day of training, I passed my sta tests so I have sort of won.

Of course, but probably a little less than you'd expect. There's a Guy doing the m.t course who's only 3 years out of his apprenticeship so there is hope yet. Im just going to keep keen and play it by ear.

STA - service tech accreditation. The pas rate for proper VAG techs is only around 20% so I am happy.

Ouch. Sounds like its something that'll become more and more devalued as time goes on. I had visions of the Master Tech being the old hand with decades of knowledge and experience under his belt - training only gets you so far.
