Afterall, they went through the trouble of removing every post that said "hurfdurf for mod" and every sig that said the same. You don't spend time doing that if you see it as a joke, you just....treat it like a joke and laugh along - hence me speculating that a/some mods are getting wound up about it.

I don't think it matters hugely provided it is understandable, it certainly doesn't have any particular bearing on whether the moderator can be fair and even-handed in their dealings.
