I'm a fan of the OcUK creating an official 'elite' posting category (with accompanying avatar obviously) at a suitable price point to deter the lower classes from applying, say £10 or so, that would grant you immunity from any scrub tier posters or threads. Would be quite the revenue raiser and premium posters could post at a decent level and include it in their reasons to be posting

No power figure has been mentioned, we are simply talking enough power to make booting it something which will always result in breaking a speed limit in a few seconds

My question still stood, until I remembered you had a new car.

We're going to have to agree to disagree then.

Take it with as much salt as you like; I have never seen anything go as fast as that M3 on a public road and in my opinion his speed was dangerous because if anyone had pulled out for what ever reason, there wouldn't have been time to do anything about it. There are too many variables at that speed – you can't plan for everything.

As a result, I'll go back to my initial comment that I wouldn't like to see UK speed limits unrestricted like the autobahn.

Doesn't Germany have the necessary rules and regulation in place to make sure it is safe? Don't they also have the safest and most reliable motorways in Europe? I think I remember reading these things. Someone else look it up and argue with facts.

TBH the whole debate is boring, complaints and moaning is more frustrating to read than a "tired" joke.

No need to point out the irony of my post.

THERE IS IRONY IN YOUR POST

I will discuss matters with my team and loyal supporters and address this issue at a future date.

But surely that pales in comparison to Robbie G's great achievements and fine contributions to the Motors community? Ohwaitno

You mean coming here to show off a fairly rubbish purchase only to be disappointed by the comments it gets and then continue to post in motors almost exclusively trolling one particular person isn't a great achievement and fine contribution?

No. He is actually a good poster

hurf is the man.

hurf and I are 'real life' friends

Not far off the safety markers. Few mm at most.
Doubt it needs a geo though as I've had no wobble and it's tracked straight since I've had it.

How long have you had it? I was under the impression that geo changes as you drive the car over a period of time. It might just be due a quick one? I could be incredibly wrong, so wait until someone with more technical knowledge comes along.

Not at all, search my other posts today and I've made some helpful valid contributions. That's the thing, I do disparaging so well that people only remember those bits :(.

This but only unironically and replace disparaging with some thing else and me instead of Robbie G and also being a good poster and not Robbie G level posting as "helpful valid contributions"

So I just got my car back from the MOT place, I sent it knowing that after a seized brake calliper one of the rear brake pads would definitely be in need of a change, as well as what I assumed would be other stuff. Expecting a massive list of failures equalling £££££'s in cost I was at first delighted when I was phoned up and told all it needed was a light bulb, and they had done it free of charge, as well as a full valet.

So now I have my car back, with a full MOT, great.

Except the brakes still feel a bit **** tbh, stopping power is not what it used to be, to the point where I am almost certain its not a placebo. There are weird noises coming from all over the place when I go round corners too fast (not tyre squeal) and now the interior passenger side door handle does not work.

Car looks sexy as hell and still goes well though, but having never really spent money on a car that didn't need it, I am at a loss as to where to start. Any ideas lads? Car is an MX5.

Jack it up, take the wheels off and have a look at the pads.

A sticking caliper piston can be identified by hovering your hand over the offending wheel after a drive, it'll probably be pretty warm.

After that just take it to a mechanic with your findings, unless you want to do it yourself?

Caliper has already been sorted, its just it surely rubbed on the pad while I was driving it when it was stuck?
