psycho: nobody.....i'm trying with something like borderlinx.....shipping cost from amazon is killing me.
yeah shipping in canada as well as taxes kills a lot of the potential savings, so i get family to buy locally in shops if they can find them cheap and then bring it over when they visit or bring it back when we or someone i know goes.
postage is always gonna be expensive when it's travelling thousands of miles, with the UK being so small it gives us a huge advantage in that once it's in the UK it's pretty much already at your doorstep in terms of postage so it costs pennies for companies like amazon to post stuff as well as it arriving very quickly.
what you could do is plan a once a year trip to the UK, have everything saved in your wishlist and then order it to your hotel the day before you leave.
that way you get everything for cheap and a holiday to boot at the same time for probably cheaper than what the postage would be on all the items you would buy combined over the year.
