Got enough games to play already lol, and then HZFW later this month!
Yep. I will be on HFW on launch also. Trying to complete TLOU before that. Not getting enough game time on pc. Any time I get I fire up the steam deck these days.

The character creator's a bit mad. You can choose which individual teeth are missing.
2024s release list is an interesting one, I cant really see anything in it which immediately leaps out at me as Prime GOTY material. Helldivers 2 could be in with a shout but it does suffer from the same thing which caused Hogwarts Legacy to be all but forgotten by the time GOTY awards came around, which is that its come very early in the year. Generally speaking the GOTYs tend to come from the last few months of the year, recency bias and all that.....but yeah, at the moment hard to see what the GOTY contenders will be this year.

Helldivers, Balatro, Final Fantasy. It's been a very strong start to the year. I don't think DD2 will be a GOTY contender, but it's definitely getting a lot of positive previews.
I was actually going to go as far as not even a contender but like Tombstone said, it could make it by virtue of not much competition, then again, sometimes something just comes out of the blue. I can't see a game loosely based on Poker winning it either but you never know.
That stuck out to me too, I wonder who was calling for that setting haha

Helldivers 2 is so incredibly repetitive, how on earth ppl are classing it as GOTY is beyond me. Its a fun game sure but my god some of the frothing at the mouth over it are beyond me. It's an 8/10 at beat.
DD2 will be great I'm sure but like everything these days, probably massively overhyped. I'm very much excited for it as I loved DD1 back on Xbox, it was a total sleeper hit back then. I'm sure it's going to be a very good game, but not a masterpiece.

The performance issues with the game is less about framerate and more about frametimes. If, as is common in Japanese games, this game has unstable frametimes, then increasing the framerate will not improve the situation much

Mind you, it wouldnt be the first 8/10 game to get GOTY. I dont think it will but I've seen worse games (per my tastes) get GOTY
