It looks like La Liga are pulling strings the same as the EPL to keep their title race close.

Barca are now losing 2-1 after having an onside goal disallowed and a soft penalty given against them.

Ronaldo's goals tally is ridiculous. I think he must be trying to go for this record; he's just scored no. 37 in the league, no. 38 takes him level with the jointly-held all-time record. He's still got a large chunk of this game and the final game of the season to do it. Best of luck to him.

Barca are playing a virtual reserve side.
 
We never get that high. Barca's possession game is a lot more 'play it safe' than ours, we'll try and force something to happen or give the ball away, they tend to avoid losing possession unless they're 100% sure that a chance is on. They're better at keeping possession under pressure too.


Valdes and Mascherano were the only of the first XI playing tonight, their lack of depth is pretty obvious, although I remember Affelay being half decent before he joined the bench-warmers. Won't be carrying any injuries or fatigue into the final though, hope Messi breaks his trend of not really performing like he can when he plays over here.
 
Ronaldo with a hatrick of assists in the game tonight, okay one was a shot that came off the bar. He's hit 39 as of typing officially, 40 with that goal thats been given to Pepe. 52 total now I think, and 3 assists on a night everyone expected everyone else to set Ronaldo up isn't half bad.

Epic season for Ronaldo, hmm, not quite sure how it stacks up with Messi now. He was on 52 or 53 iirc for Barca, didn't play today I don't think but he's got the CL final to come.

Hmm, quick check on ESPN has Messi down as 50 goals for the season including one for Argentina, though there was a big thing about him breaking 50 goals for Barca in all comps, not quite sure, does that include something like club world cup, or super cup or something?

EDIT:- Dudek retiring? they subbed him off and they lined up to shake his hand as he went off, not sure I've seen that before.

7-1 now, 6th was a corner, not sure if Ronaldo took it or not, Ronaldo scored the 7th. Insane, and why the sweet jesus is the final Real and Barca games not live on Sky?

lol, Adebayor with a good shot, almost got his 4th, hit the bar. Silly game, but for those claiming Almeria are just trying to hell Real or Ronaldo or its unfair, Messi got a hatrick when Barca beat them 8-0.

lol 8-1 madness not caught any of it today really.

See Barca won 3-1 with there B team basically and Afellay doesn't appear to be playing to badly.

Messi hasn't played the last 2 games has he?
