***OFFICAL*** Left 4 Dead Thread!

cheers for the tips :) . On a side note it's bloody hard being a good tank

Yeah, I hate being the tank cus I hate the pressure :p it's hard to give good advice when it comes to tanks cus it all depends on where you are and how many molotovs there is etc. Try waiting for the boomer if you can and throw rocks rather than rush in. if I am the tank I try waiting until my team mates distract the survivors and then attack to cause a bit more chaos for them. And always use objects (cars, logs etc) when you can :)

I was full of Czech beer last night and lost hope after watching the scotland match and looking like a tit in the centre of prague with my kilt so wasnt on my best form, but cant take all the blame for the absolute ownage that occurred. Did our team even get over 1000 points at the end? :(

I think the game was against me, I got to play as a smoker just twice the whole game and a boomer a few times. I was a hunter 99% of the time.

We need to cut down on the wait times tbh! several nights now I've noticed we're waiting up to 20mins ingame just for people to be !ready :(

Colour me slightly disappointed, so the left 4 dead 2 stuff looks great and the amusement park campaign will be awesome :D but....

Left 4 Dead DLC campaign.....*sigh*.....seriously, a 2 level campaign which is essentially versus. 2 levels?! 2 levels?! That could literally be over in minutes in terms of how versus gets played out usually.

All I'm hoping is that they are seriously lengthy levels, ties into the story after being picked up at No Mercy.

That's the idea - to make a shorter Vs game experience possible.

Hmmmmm, but the way versus games go sometimes it could be a complete waste. oh well :p

The problem was it was announced as a brand new campaign and I feel the fact there are 2 levels is a tad disappointing as it isn't exactly fully fledged.

oh and it was only cause i failed to pull the survivor at the rear back that resulted in me dieing outside the safe room. Wish I could say id planned it :)

then a team of crack hunters and boomers took over !

8v8 tonight hopefully .

I read that it takes around 30 minutes (edit: this might be for campaign mode?) to finish the whole thing. I think that's great, it's just enough time for when it's late and you want to play but don't have time to stick around for a full game. It's also good if you've already played a game and want to play some more but don't feel like playing for another 2 hours. When DA and DT came out in vs mode there were so many people who complained about that the maps were too long. I think it's great that there are developers out there who listen to their customers (us). There isn't enough of that out there :)

I personally am hoping Valve will add more "mini campaigns" set between the other three. For example, the river (and I think the boat) at the end of Death Toll can be seen at the beginning of Dead Air, what made them come ashore?
