Unless you can see the actual vote happening, I assume it's unlikely to be as a result of a votekick? Unless admin are kicking people to make way, which I'd be surprised at.
 
People shouldn't be kicking anyone via console, at least on the fragM servers. There are a few people with admin rights aside from me/uvmain but I'd hope that they aren't kicking players for friends. I'll have to check the logs and remove the rights from people doing so...

I'll contact you in the next few days about the server details. just off out for a curry.

It just comes up with the text 'Kicked by Console' and then you get ejected. I've never yet been voted off since I got the game in the Xmas hols.

Don't worry, it's not me abusing my powers this time :p I haven't even played for like a month now :(

It probably was a kick then from an admin, but as Aekeron said that was Seaniboys server...So god knows how many people he has as adminon his server :)

Still....pretty pathetic...When I first started playing without the tag people where going 'who are you? I don't recognise your name get out' etc....Only reason I put the tag on after that...Might take it off soon.

It helps if you know people that play a lot, I know Knubje in real life and we usually play a vs game or two in the evenings with some other OCUK'ers.

The games we play do fill up very very fast though.

Got it sorted in the end Seaniboy was kicking me :p something to do with not having the tag or knowing who i was, or something like that.
Either way i caused him some grief since i reconnected so quickly :p

Thing is...you can't join the server unless your in the L4D group, or if your a friend of someone anyway....So I don't see the problem =/

I have been in the group for ages now, probably since the game came out, you have played with me loads of times.

Yeah I know buddy :p That's what I mean....You couldn't physically join the server if you where not a member of the group...or atleast a friend of someone

Well, you could use the connect commmand if you knew the IP...but you're only likely to have found that out by being in the group so... Yeah :p
 
I added the servers to my favourites in the server browser with the IP + Port

It's easier to see how many are playing through that rather than the in game direct steam links since the steam links are often incorrect about how full a server is.

Gametrack will tell you. I have linked them all here though - http://www.l4d-ocuk.co.uk/.

Also if possible can people use the [OcUk] tag's please. As if a space is wanted on the server for some one from OcUK i normally just kick someone without the tags and that has been connect for the least amount of time.

But surely the people that are connecting are in the steam group or are a friend of someone in the game?

Good game last night to those involved, was a little unfair but I think it all hinged on the tanking and communication really. Will be doing another tonight around 8pm probably :)

No not all the time in Vs because cannot get enough players together. Last night we had to make a game puclic.
