what do you mean by 'best available' mate..

do we still use 'ocuk' as search key, or do we need to connect manually..

There's an option when you go to create a lobby. Server Type: Official dedicated is the default option, which will work, it will just take longer. Instead choose best available dedicated from there and use the search key as normal. It should find the server faster. The ocuk search key should still work as normal. (Or try ocuklink.)

Some good games tonight guys. The new OcUK 3 seems to work much better than the old one (ie OcUK 5) so that's good. We also had a good 8v8 game. Always mayhem lol.

Haven't played in a few days, mainly due to the heatwave destroying my capability to do anything but lie there and complain about how hot it is in my room.

PC is also over heating and I'm not risking full games of L4D at the moment. When I feel up to it and it cools down I'll be back

it's time like this i thank the lord that my flat is pretty cold (things almost frost over in the winter though

Friday 3-Jul-2009 5:00 PM Seven minutes of L4D2 gameplay inside

Here's an awesome seven minutes of actual-us-playing-in-game-footage recorded from the Left 4 Dead 2 press demo we hammered yesterday.

The footage has us showing up less skilful Journalists in one of the second game's about-to-become-legendary finales.

As you will see, the conclusions are no longer about simply defending a corner until help arrives. Instead this final act has us battling the horde across a massive bridge, in a desperate attempt to reach the military chopper at the end.

You'll see new characters, new weapons, zombie dismemberment and one of the new special infected, the 'charger', in action.

I'm off on holiday to Portugal so no Left 4 Dead for a week.

I have just restarted OcUK 5 to make sure it's working nicely before I go and bledd and aekeron have limited access to the control panel of OcUK 3 so if it fails post on here and they should be able to restart it. If it (or 5) fails spectacularly however I'll fix it when I get back.

Looks cool, but still nothing there that couldn't be DLC, I don't think I saw anything new in there apart from the map

I do think L4D 2 is WAY too soon.....the games only just maturing for God's sake =/

Mrk that video looks great but teh one thing i always hate with these is its so obv in easy mode.

Why dont they show vids of guys struggling to survive thats what its all about

You just know we will all be playin this

Now if we could play L4D2 with teh original chars plus the new 4 in 8v8 that would be epic

Apparently there's going to be DLC annouced for L4D by the end of the summer or so the rumour goes. No idea what though but I would assume it'll be like TF2 where user created content is made official plus one or two things from Valve.

Couldnt disagree more, lack of decent players on survival mode is becoming more apparant by the week.

I think that's just because survivor mode doesn't seem to hold people's interest as much as Vs.

Ive been playing Lfd since January now but only played VS mode 3(ish) times....the mode didnt appeal to me but maybe i should give it a try as its all i ever see in the forums now.

Just VERY fustrating as i need lighthouse (9.20mins) & contruction site (8mins) to get GOLD in all maps.

Join in the OcUK Vs games and add the players you see in game to your steam friends list. You'll probably quickly find Vs is amazing fun and even if you don't, you'll have a bigger friends list to invite people into Survival.
