Also are the hoard still getting a speed boost, or was that another OcUk server?

The horde won't be changed on this (that was ocuk6, the 8v8) as I'm still trying to keep it reasonably balanced, while making it more fun for infected players. Horde size standard is 30 onscreen at a time, and 50 in megahordes alltogether.

Btw I have a nice surprise waiting for you all if any team manages to survive the finale... :D

Ok cool, looking forward to playing later, I'm ready for a game now, although I guess it deppends on others!

Just wish we could have a crazy sized hoard just for one game haha :D
 
Today, will go down in L4D history. The 'reverse' smoker was born.

This fabled technique will go down with the classic, drag off the roof and the insta kill attack. It will become the another tool to punish defrag

After tonight's rather fun game I have made a few small balance fixes.

Balance fixes:

-Boomer should now slow down when vomiting, not speed up.
-Tank hit damage is now returned to normal
-Smoker cloud lasts a shorter period of time
-No message comes up on screen when taking smoker damage (screen shakes as you cough)
-The 2 tanks in finale now have less health
-Hopefully Escape Tank spawn has been fixed.

Anyone want another go at a finale?
 
That worked pretty well I must say. Will put a link on the ocuk steam page at some point as well as add one to the Insanity Asylum.

2 tanks in finale for the win...and a surprise at the very end for new players ;)

Total list of changes:

Insanity Versus Changes:

General:
-Tank spawn chance increased to 100% on levels 2,3,4
-Variable Tank spawn added
-Witch spawn chance 100% on Level 1 and 80% on 2,3,4
-Multiple tanks/witches can spawn each level (albeit not at the same time)
-Promaps Installed on the four original maps

Survivors:
-Survivors now revive & heal faster
-Fire does slightly more damage

Infected:
-Ghost speed Increased
-Witch has double health, though fire will still kill her relatively quickly (20 secs instead of usual 15)
-Boomer Vomit delay removed
-Boomer can vomit when moving, but slows down whilst vomiting
-Smoker tongue range increased slightly
-Smoker tongue has more health
-Smoker tongue drags faster
-Smoker Cloud deals 2 dmg every 2 seconds and lasts 14 seconds
-Hunter claw does more damage
-Tanks take longer to get frustrated
-Tanks take longer to Burn
-Tanks remain stunned for slightly less time when stunned by explosion
-2 Tanks spawn at the same time in finale (with reduced health - 4000 each)
-If survivors survive to the rescue vehicle and don't jump in straight away, they get a nice surprise :D

to connect, Type mm_dedicated_force_servers 217.168.150.203:27016 in console when forming a lobby. Mod supports all five official maps. Note it will not run on custom maps however.

Have had it happen about 4 times now when playing No Mercy, we get to stage 3 and everyone appears on the level dead as infected. Then the level restarts and we all reappear as infected again with CPU players taking the survivor roles and cant go any further.

Have had it happen about 4 times now when playing No Mercy, we get to stage 3 and everyone appears on the level dead as infected. Then the level restarts and we all reappear as infected again with CPU players taking the survivor roles and cant go any further.

Hmmm....Fixed that ages ago by removing a mod. There's a chance that FT may have unknowingly put it back on. Will take a look at it now.

EDIT: Should be sorted now. SOMEONE put it back on. What a noob! :p

Some changes made to the 8v8 again btw:

Insanity Versus 8v8:

General:
-Advertisments should now come up less often
-Name changed from Insanity Versus 2 to Insanity Versus 8v8 to avoid confusion with modded 4v4 server.

Survivors:
-Can now heal faster
-Expert fire damage is back!

Infected:
-Boomer vomit registry reduced back to normal (it can move anyway while throwing up)
-Boomer claw damage is now reduced to 5
-Smoker tongue range, health and shoot time reduced (Still better than normal, in line with Insanity Versus, 4x4 now))
-Smoker Claw damage is now 6
-Hunter health now back to normal
-Common Infected now 90 health (Sniper rifle = 1 shot again)
-Witch takes slightly longer to burn
-Tank Hit damage reduced to normal
-Tank count in 2nd wave of finales has been increased to 3 (albeit with 4k health each).
-Surprise added for escaping survivors :D

Sorry about mostly nerfing the infected, but it has come to my attention that people generally seem to run for it, not giving people a chance to play as infected anyway. Making it a little easier for survivors should help lower this. As a warning, the same ocuk rules as mentioned in the motd apply. Anyone repeatedly running off and spoiling the game for others by doing so will be kicked, or banned. Will be teseting the changes out over the weekend. :D
