New rule!

Q: How does daily tax work?
A: There is only one certainty in MONOPOLY City Streets. Tax. Just like in real life, tax now plays an integral part of the game. Tax works as follows: The first 5 streets owned are not taxed. Thereafter the current tax rate is 3% PER STREET you own. For example, if you own 15 streets your tax will be 30% of your total rent collected every day. If you own 25 streets your tax will be 60%. Remember, at 38 streets you will effectively be taxed 100% and so won’t be making any profit and your bank balance won’t increase.

I hope they scrap it, or it's removed after the first week. Absolutely ridiculous otherwise.

Agree, completely stops the game being what it is, Monopoly! The way that reads, have more than 38 streets (if you can get enough money to buy more) and you then get a minus income...awesome. :/

All those comments dont seem to like the tax either.

They better take it out to be honest else the game will just be rubbish.

So thats made any road under £1million pretty pointless now.

Made the whole game pointless to be honest lol, why would you want to have a few streets when over time you can build loads of them, earn more, have a higher score.

The game gets boring enough as it is just being a 5 minute job when you login buying things, that was without restrictions

What they should be doing is 3% Tax on the profits of that street, ie...3% of total income. Then at say, 25 roads, make it 5%, 50 roads 8%, etc. etc. up to a cap of something like 60%.

Yup should be something like that, maybe a bit higher in the tax rates that you suggest but def cap at 60% either way. Helps people with less roads and money and only slightly hinders higher level people.

Not back up yet?

Hope its on before I go to work....

Hopefully they're busy ripping out the tax coding :D

Well my son woke me up and the game is not yet on.

Got to say that the tax rule is scary, so many people had over 40 streets previously after just seven days, how is the game going to keep fresh for months?

Wonder what the sweetspot is? Maybe 20 streets for 45% tax? Thinking about it, if they have reigned in the 'tax' chance cards then it will be pretty similar. If you can still loose half your money with a chance as well as tax then 'no way José'!

I'm hoping that there's a cap they forgot to mention.
