there are a few modern machines but mostly with some form of gimmick. the golden era of the jamma cab are over sadly.Are there modern arcade machines? I thought it was an 80s/90s thing, and last time I went to an arcade, it was full of fruit machines.
Also, I don't think that emulation talk is allowed on here. At least in the PC Games section, there is a rules thread which is stickied. It says that discussion of ROMs is a grey area because Nintendo/Sega/etc still sell their retro games on their digital platforms and this includes arcade games.
Those 1Up machines can have the board swapped out for a Rasberry Pi There are a few guides on the web on how to do it.That's why people need an emulator based one so the game can be swapped out quickly rather than a static choice like those Costco ones.
