***Official 2010 F1 thread***

I think the pertinent get out clause is
"whilst the car is under parc ferme conditions"
A pressurised system using the fuel tank would not alter ride height whilst in Parc Ferme until the fuel load is changed, and in that case the ride height changes naturally anyway.

Exactly, that was exactly what I thought when I saw the exact wording of the FIA's statement :D

Yippeeeee!

Got some autographed cards from Karun Chandhok in the post yesterday :D Hand-written letter & envelope as well - that's what I call fan dedication!!

I want to put them in one of those picture frames that just look like a sheet of glass (with no border); does any one know that those are called?

Cheers,

Su

Was that due to being his 10,000 twitter follower? The frames are called clip frames?

Chandhok is doing both himself and HRT a lot of good. He seems completely genuine, as seen in some of the interviews he did over the first 3 races - especially in Bahrain. Honest, but also not complaining about the car or the team. Happy just to be there and hopeful for the future.

I'm liking the guy more and more.

Plus he tweets more than most of the other drivers :) Probably on par with Heikki, who is another one who has gone up in my estimation this year so far. The amount of goodwill I'm feeling towards some of the chaps in the paddock - especially 2 of the new teams is almost unprecedented. ;)

Heikki is doing more promo stuff......because he has less driving to do....what a shocker!!!:D

I do like Chandhok a lot, he does seem very genuine and hope he has some measure of success in F1

Huh...
Heikki's done more laps this year than half the grid. Including both Force Indias, Shumacher, Vettel and Hulkenberg.

Actually - as a team, Lotus have more racing laps than anyone else other than McLaren and Ferrari.

So why aren't those guys tweeting more? ;)

but he didnt because lotus missed loads of test days :p

Testing does give you practise in the car. And it does count for "something", when we have only had 3 races to date. Obviously, once we reach mid-season, what happened during testing, in January/February will be forgetten and count for little.

Surely Lotus did a lot less testing than McLaren (ie Heikki's former team), which is what I was referring to - and you said yourself Lotus havent done as many laps as McLaren....... given the driver in question the only reasonable comparison is McLaren

I would also bet that in general he has a lot less to do now he isnt working for McLaren

May have been a bit of a flippant comment but based on good reasoning :)
