***Official 2010 F1 thread***

Doubt that it's for the same function, there isn't a shark fin channel thing to dump the air on the rear wing. I am curious what it is for though, maybe for cooling something.

Yeah i know, just think it is strange how it is the in the same place, and only on the one car for the one race.

Driver cooling vent? Maybe they worked out it was a good thing and removed it quick and said it didn't work before anyone else rumbled the idea.

It would appear that Button is taking his job very seriously now.

Work before pleasure...I never thought I would be saying this, but I'm warming to Mr Button and his work ethic.

Brawn (for instance) probably didnt have the budget to do this for one day's testing - and before that BAR or Honda wouldnt have even warranted an article even if they did it, due to how far back on the grid they were

I'm sure they must all have a good work ethic to racing in F1, it even says in the article Hamilton is going into the simulator on Wednesday.

Whereas if any of us got paid to go to the simulator, we'd be in there every minute we are awake lol

True lol, I'd love to have a go in the simulator, I might give McLaren a ring, after all it should be empty after Wednesday :p.

So the FIA have clarified ride height rules and say anything that alters the ride height during a gp is banned. Red Bull cannot be running the system then or it will be pretty obvious in the next gp if they take it out.

Stunning that they have the pace across the fuel range as they have.

I thought it was almost a fact that RedBull are running a variable ride height system. Or was this mere speculation?

Just to point out, he's only been back to do one day in the simulator. He's then still gone off to Tokyo with his missus (which he's perfectly entitled to do between races IMO).

Even says on his Twitter page he's now in Tokyo chilling out.
