I wonder if RBR focus on making their car a race day car first and foremost with a quali car a second thought, while the othe teams try to make a car that's as fast for both days
God timing: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/formula1/67492809I do think Adrian Newey should get a lot of credit, one of the very few who had any real life experience with ground effect (from his time in Indycar in the 80's)
Much as I'm neither a Max or Red Bull fan, I think they've done a superb job this year and about half way through the season, I wanted them to win every race because that's an incredible performance and record. F1 is the pinnacle of motorsport and to be able to dominate the way they have done is an amazing achievement. To be honest, I sort of want Max to win again and extend the most wins in a season record. RB19 is also the most dominant F1 car in a season so far:
Already gone according to this: https://www.autosport.com/f1/news/f...n also broke a 60,71.47% from the 1963 season. How many laps does Max need to lead before he breaks Clark’s record for highest percentage of laps led in a season?
It's been amusing over the last couple of years to hear various commentators and pundits still refer to them as Sauber.Last weekend for the Alfa Romeo branded Sauber this weekend.
Yeah, I mean technically they still are despite the branding. It's been amusing over the last couple of years to hear various commentators and pundits still refer to them as Sauber.
Half of the grid will be rookies in FP1 this weekend, including both Red Bulls.
*holy old tweet, batman*
F2 also wraps us this weekend. Another season where the winner won't have a seat for next year. In fact, of the drivers near the top, only Bearman looks remotely likely to get into F1 at all.
Going to be fun swapping back and forth between F1 and F2 cars for a lot of those drivers.
Come on, man, don't drop old news into the thread like that!
Formal warnings issued to Toto and Fred for language used in last week’s press conference.
basically what Fred and Toto said in the press conference after Las Vegas FP1's debacle, the language used supposedly went against FIA values. Fred basically blaming the FIA/F1 and Toto's rant against a question which imo was out of lineWhat are the warnings actually for? The decision documents are clear as mud.
