Does anyone know how Parc Ferme rules are working this weekend? When do they have to lock-in their setups?

I read on Autosport that the regs remain the same, Set-up and components frozen as soon as they leave the pits in Qualifying (On Friday this time though)

Shame for Logan. He had decent pace today.

He's made a much better start to F1 than I expected tbh, Not been impressed with Dy Vries so far

Poor from Sargeant blaming the Ferrari‘s there - one was off the track and the other was enough ahead to not make an impact.

I always rated Sergeant since he narrowly missed out on the F3 title, but he's being hurt by the lack of practice time. Needs to calm down a bit, I think.

De Vries drive last year was stunning but it seems like he is really the ordinary driver I thought he was before then.

I will say though, I think in this scenario (Red Flag in qualifying) the driver causing it should be sent to the back of the grid and the 16th placed car in Q3 allowed to enter Q2

It does though, it sets the grid for the sprint and there are world championship points for the sprint.

That is indeed bizarre, how on earth have the rules/McLaren managed that?

Not really, it does seem like a waste of time, all this for a max of 8 points, even if you're say a Red Bull, have a bad race and only finish 4th or 5th you only lose a couple of points. this whole thing is a gimmick.

McLaren prioritised the "proper" qualifying on Friday tyre wise - Tsunoda was in the same boat had he got into Q3.
I don't see the harm in just letting them used "pre-used" soft's would cost them time v brand new tyres but that's the team's issue

Like sprint quali. Not keen on not being able to pit in q3. Softs look fairly dead for run 2.
