As good as that McLaren looked, qualifying couldn't have worked out better for Max. His main rivals are stuck behind cars that aren't likely on par in the race. I doubt we'll even see much coverage of him.

The race is going to be for the podium positions and I'm hoping it'll be a good one.

Just looking at that headline, with the Just Stop Oil morons saying they are prepared to put bodies on the line. If there wasn't a risk of injuring a driver, or any of the support staff, it'd be nice to see some protestors minced into a fine paste.
I'm now expecting the race to be delayed, or ruined in some way by them. UK police aren't exactly doing a great job with them at the moment.

Pretty distasteful comment. Protesting about something they belive me, albeit not in a great way and you wish them to be minced into a fine paste

UK police are dealing with them in accordence with playbook they are given.

Back on topic, I hope Lando gets decent result he deserves it after showing loyalty to Mclaren.

Those individuals are quite happy to risk the lives of the racing drivers (as seen by their behaviour last year).

I don't wish them ill will, but I wont shed a tear if their choices bring them to harm either.

I’m all for the right to protest but if someone takes it upon themselves to run onto a live F1 circuit during the race, whilst I would not wish to see harm come to anyone - they have made their choice and if injured / killed then I’m afraid they only have themselves to blame.

Still think there is a good chance at least one of the Mercs end up on the podium. McLaren have clearly made improvements, but their qualy has often been a fair bit better than their race Pace. The race has so often seen them drop to near the bottom. I'll be quite surprised if they have made themselves the 2nd fastest car in race trim as well..

I imagine they will still score good points though.

Looks like it will be gusty but I don't see much chance of rain at all. I except Max will already be Amsterdam before the rest of the field cross the line, but let's see.

The race behind will be interesting. McLaren aren't exactly known for great strategy, and Mercedes can be overly cautious at the time.

In the dry with DRS Perez should be a podium contender too.
