I’ve said it before, gotta love the consistency of these regs. McLaren went directly from fighting for P1 to practically plum last? Such a lottery.

Let’s hope they can give some entertainment carving through the field at least. Hamilton too.

Should be an interesting race with this grid. I'd also be stunned if no one bins it at some point so a safety car feels almost inevitable.

Hoping a change to regulations for incidents like Carlos’ damage will come after this.

They won't. It's happened before and it'll happen again and they've never changed the rules for it. Although I think it's unfair.

I'd be interested to see how McLaren would have been all season with their current car. A couple of off races is often normal when a car just plain doesn't suit a particular track style. We've seen it before with all conquering cars, they find their kryptonite somewhere.

Did you guys even see Perez strategy? He got screwed.

He was the only one coming in after each hot lap whilst the others kept pounding around getting quicker. Why he didn't say something to his team I don't know.

Interesting how a track layout can mean so much to teams, the long straights and lack of complexity really helps the Williams. But on the flip side, the lack of high speed corners and a lack of requirement for downforce has hindered the Mclaren big style. Which has become their strong area in the second half of the season.

Honestly surprised that we haven't seen more people bin it into the wall so far, I wonder how many laps these guys have done in the sims prior to this weekend to help for that.

Might get up early for the race.

I'm tempted but i dont think my wife is going to let me set an alarm for 5.30am on a Sunday after the week she has had...:(:p

Shame it doesnt start an hour or two later.

Seems that it is repeated shortly after at 9.30 so will just watch it then and have a lie in.
