Disrespect for referees is a slippery slope. You allow insults and swearing at them without repercussions, you end up with biased refereeing.

It would be an instant red card in football or rugby.

As Alonso has argued, and I value his opinion far more than Max’s or the pundits on SkyF1. It could be argued the bias is already there.

The claim referees are biased against you, is as old as sport itself.

Instant red card in football or rugby if you insult or swear at the referee. Doesn't matter if the decision is completely wrong.

Maybe because he sticks out like a sore thumb, speaking mind yes but at least be somewhat justified he just destroyed someone else's race

I don’t get the repeated comparison to football. I watch F1 because it ISN’T football. Not interested in the theatrics, and nonsense of that sport.

Respect for referees in sport is universal. F1 is the sport coming across as a soap opera if insulting referees is allowed.

So i've just done the calculations. I think this is correct. If Sainz can get past Norris, so it's Sainz, Norris, Leclerc. Piastri finishes out the top 10. Ferrari wins by a point

The soap opera era started years ago. We’re too far into it. Management of F1 hardly seems great lately. I’m all for it being called out.
