Caporegime
Dani R will be very happy to top the first session of the season, even if it isn't representative. Haas and Alpine look to be in real trouble. I really hope Haas have more than they showed here.
Top 4 on softs not really representative. Very close between the Medium runners, though I imagine there is plenty left on the table from RBR, looked like they wernt close to getting the most from that car. Come Saturday I expect normal service to resume. Cant see me following very closely this year again. I'll pop in and out through the season to see who's where.my prediction was wrong DR and Lando DID stay top 2 of the session
lets see if i can replicate that... DR not to win the race with Norris not coming P2
Bloody hell I don't think Haas would be at the front of the F2 grid with that pace
They're not far off being at risk of not making the 107% based on pace of the car (rather than odd weather or crap laps etc.) - not sure that's happened since the old HRTs?
And the sport would rather have Haas struggling to meet the 107% than welcome Andretti, who would probably hit the ground running. They're not far off being at risk of not making the 107% based on pace of the car (rather than odd weather or crap laps etc.) - not sure that's happened since the old HRTs?
(Though I doubt they'd get denied qualification unless it was particularly bad)
What happens if the entire field don't make 107% of the leader. They're not far off being at risk of not making the 107% based on pace of the car (rather than odd weather or crap laps etc.) - not sure that's happened since the old HRTs?

Over in F2 qualifying, future multiple F1 champion Kimi Antonelli gets his season off to a flying start, qualifying 18th
Actually, he's ahead of his teammate Bearman, who is hardly a slouch, so I think Prema probably got the setup all wrong for this track. Impressed by Ritomo Miyata getting 6th having come from SuperFormula. Maini and Bortoleto looking tidy again.

I’d watch a Ricciardo championship challenge.
God, can you imagine the reaction from Red Bull if their juniors started battering them?
