I truly don't want to see Ricciardo promoted, as he hasn't really done anything to deserve it over the last year. They should put Tsunoda in the main race seat, and get Lawson in to his seat.
Whilst it would be nice to see Lawson go in to the Red Bull and do well, I think what would likely happen, is they'd put him in there and drop him at end of the season if he wasn't able to immediately perform up to top team standards. There's a good chance the same would happen to Tsunoda too, but at this stage he should be able to perform in that car.

Also, just really thankful we're at a real race track this weekend. :D

It could be for the best though. Put him in the Red Bull and see what he can do. If he’s still cack, you’ve not lost anything and you don’t renew his contract. Likewise if Perez is still cack, you don’t renew him either and actually put the young guns to use.

I was more thinking about it from the perspective of Liam Lawson getting a decent shot. :D
Seemed like he was alright in the short time he was there. Would be nice to see him get a real chance.

Moving back to the race weekend, instead of endlessly speculating about drivers seat's every race weekend.
I'm hearing that Max might be taking an engine penalty this weekend, can anyone confirm this? I believe he's up to 4 pu's already.

He already is at the limit, and last weekend couldn't have done his engine any favours

They might just be taking a new engine to have a fresh one in the mix, and this is a good track to take it at.

The other 3 engines (maybe not all 3) are likely still usable.
That's true, however all the Honda/RB engined drivers are have taken all their allowed engines for the year already. Either they have a different usage rotation than the other teams and manufacturers, or the RB engine perhaps isn't so durable.

Definitely possible. Weird because it’s been one of the best for the past 2 years but maybe it is just tactical.

Strange that RB have taken 6 exhaust systems. Wonder whether that’s wear and tear or something else.

They gifted Lando the win, then decided against that move. Remember that.
The team ordered them not to race after the mid 40's which effectively gifted Piastri the win. If Piastri wasn't his team mate then Norris would've been allowed to undercut him or go long, and with the pace he showed in the final stint he likely would've won. Piastri is a good driver but he's just not on the same level as Norris yet.

Now that he has an outside chance of actually pushing Max, Norris is showing a lot of frustration this year. If that had been Max told to hand it over to Perez we all know what the outcome would have been. Possibly Lewis in his early days too

Neither McLaren driver had the pace to overtake the other. Teams said you needed a 1-1.5sec delta to make the overtake possible, and even with Lando pulling ahead in the final stint, he still wouldn't have had enough pace to overtake Oscar.

Lando wouldn't have won without McLaren's help, and McLaren thought that the pit order was the best way to cover Lewis. Put the tinfoil back in the cupboard.
