I wasn't asking for an explanation, I'd rather the laps not be wasted behind the safety car tbh. If I wanted to see a rolling start I'd watch NASCAR!!!!

I don't think anyone who watches F1 wouldn't prefer a standing start. Hell, I'm still disappointed that they didn't go with the standing restarts after safety cars idea they were kicking about a few years back. But the choice isn't "standing start" or "start under safety car"; it's "actually have some racing with a safety car start" or "don't get a race".

I think saying we won't get a race is a bit pessimistic given how quick the track has dried already, I'd rather start the 3 hour clock (or whatever the limit is the season/week) and begin when it is safe to do so on FULL wet tyres. We obviously won't agree, since I don't like starting under the safety car or rolling starts and would rather have a 40 lap race with a standing start.

Yup it's moving east/north east and looks like it'll hit at around 3.40pm but it won't last long.
