Shame Crawford incurred a 5 sec penalty. Very close whether he's going to keep 2nd or 3rd

I thought it was a pretty harsh penalty. Yeah, it was too close as he exited his pit box, but at the moment he's released the car behind isn't in the pit lane, it's only because it was the pit directly behind that there was a problem.

Yup, it's absolutely drowned the track. Porsche race is starting under the SC.

Aaaand it's been red flagged.

Drowning my son too :D

According to radar once this thundery shower has passed over it could be clear from around 14:00 until 16:00. But you never know when another thundery shower can break out..

Would rather it starts dry than starts wet under a safety car though

Agreed. They seem happier to run in wetter conditions than to start in. But I guess 20 cars throwing up spray on the same part of the track is harder to see in than 20 cars spread around the track.

The weather forecast has improved massively over the weekend. It was predicted to be a completely wet weekend, then turned to sunny spells, then today it's changed to wet this morning and no more rain after 12pm. I was looking forward to a changeable conditions race :(

Looks like there's a possibility at around 4pm but it really has brightened up.

I don't see the point of starting a race if it is under the safety car, just don't start it.

Having the cars running is effective at clearing water off the track - particularly on the racing line - and it's less dangerous to have a rolling start.

I wasn't asking for an explanation, I'd rather the laps not be wasted behind the safety car tbh. If I wanted to see a rolling start I'd watch NASCAR!!!!
