Christian Lundgaard will be racing for McLaren in 2025 in place of Alexander Rossi. Well, that's the plan but this is McLaren so it could be all change by the end of the week.

Rossi hasn't exactly set the world on fire so it's not a huge surprise.

He certainly had a mixed day luck wise! No luck at all with the caution as he was the only car on pit road which sent him from 2nd to the back but yeah that save avoided a big old repair job for the mechanics overnight!

Oh yeah, for him to be in the pits when Palou binned it (rare to say the least!) was awful luck.

I'm looking forward to the second race, though I won't be staying up the watch it live.

Not sure I get the logic of replacing Pourchaire with Siegel unless they're clearly stating the intention that Pato is their golden boy and anybody else on their magic roundabout roster of questionable contracts is to play second fiddle and bring in sponsorship money?

The is back in France so unlikely. Oliver Askew is already in Toronto apparently so it'll likely be him. TK is an option but I doubt it.

I'm not surprised that he's got a broken thumb, it was quite a violent jolt of the wheel when he crashed.

I didn't think Pourchaire would be back behind the wheel, I know the guy wants to drive but he was crapped on badly by McLaren so I would have thought he'd tell them to get stuffed.
