The Las Vegas Formula 1 circuit was constructed for the 2023 season, bringing a high-octane twist to the City of Lights, including a dash down the famous Strip.​

The inaugural Grand Prix on this circuit was in 2023, but Las Vegas is no stranger to F1, having hosted races in 1981 and 1982 under the Caesars Palace Grand Prix name. Those races saw Alan Jones and Michele Alboreto take the checkered flag, while Nelson Piquet and Keke Rosberg secured their championships with fifth-place finishes.

As for the circuit's layout, it's a 6.2km thrill ride with 17 turns, zipping past Vegas landmarks like Caesars Palace, the Bellagio, and the Venetian. It's fast, too – think Monza speeds – ensuring a spectacle of speed and skill.

This was a cracking race last year, despite all the issues building up to it and the over-the-top ness of the presentation. I'm really looking forward to it, I thought it was the best race of the year.

I'll be getting up for it. If I can drag myself up early enough, I'll take a drive into town and get all the McDonald's breakfast and bring it home in time for the start
