It coincided with the downplaying of Lando's talent. Lando is the superior driver at this moment in time, comfortably so IMO.
Piastri is still a very good talent though

Doesn't matter if it's over Piastri should still be up there , and I keep hearing Piastri over hype will challenge Norris

At this rate Mclaren wont even win constructors either.
Perez should have been dumped long time ago but they wouldn't do that they don't want someone competing with there golden boy.

the only reason i can think of for RBR keeping Perez after this weekend would be to drop themselves in the constructors to 3rd or 4th and gain more wind tunnel time for next year.
I was wondering that. Can’t see why that would affect him though, it was never in danger of happening next season - it was purely due to the maths.
Shame. Lando really needs him up there to bother Max if he can.
I almost feel like if RB were as vindictive with Perez as they usually are with drivers, at least he would have had a chance with another team. But now, yeah no ines going to touch him with a barge pole. Another ex-RB driver on the scrap heap.
They could do that by only entering 1 car and save money doing it.
