Some bizarre rulings from the Stewards that made it interesting in what could otherwise have been a bit of a snoozefest. Seen a lots worse and a whole lot better but as I watch this for things happening and not to watch a procession I found it quite enjoyable.

Imagine if there was a big title battle going on and that had happened or affected it, would be Abu Dhabi 21 levels of carnage!

Call a safety car, call a VSC, call whatever just call something!!

What a farce. Honestly amateurish race by the race director/stewards.

Mercedes and Ferrari should sue them or something for ******* up Sainz's and Hamilton's race :p

Crazy amount of indecision on something that was unsafe on the track. Kind of makes a mockery of the penalties they dish out for safety reasons when they can't even manage to keep the track themselves.

I just don't get the indecision? What was their plan? They either have yellow flags for the whole of the rest of the race, which was clearly a ridiculous idea, or they bring the safety car out. That was it. There were no other scenarios and the first one would have been idiotic.

Where do they get these incompetent buffoons from? You'd think they'd have hired better people/give people competency training after Masi totally ****** up the 2021 season.

Also, this track is absolutely rubbish. It's only worth watching turn 1, and even then...not very often.

Indeed. It’s an embarrassingly awful track.

Apparently the guy with the Honda dealership was stewarding today.. so yeah.. that’s cool. Definitely absolutely no way nothing to do with the draconian penalties on Lando and Lewis

The whole "you must lift" thing seems massively arbitrary from a safety perspective to be honest, especially in the context of the situation today.

I mean, they were all still bombing it at ~200mph down the straight where the dangerous object was...yet a slight lift at some point means all is ok and safe

It's very odd.
