Really interesting grid coming up later then, Norris isn't going to get much better an opportunity to take a chunk out of Verstappens lead than that, Verstappen and Red Bull also have potential to pull off a miracle comeback with some good race strategy.

I’d be all for qualifying being like this all the time, IF it was on Saturday. I’ve never been a fan of sprint races, but even less of a fan now.
Even if there was some sister team shenanigans going on, they wouldn't be so stupid as to just have them perform a T1 torpedo from the second row
Yup do a Max and break a quarter second too late into the first corner to guarantee Perez's seat for next year, got to be tempting..

Have they confirmed race will start ~4 hours after q3 ended, so ~1615 GMT?
I wouldn’t put it past Horner and co, but the most likely reason would be the fact one rookie and one other guy with a point to prove in a sister team are starting way further up than usual, in the wet. Chances of Norris tip toeing a little, them reacting to that and thinking **** it and shoving the nose in - is all quite likely.

Hardly anyone would have made it round in that time. Maybe the first couple of cars out of the pits but certainly no-one else. I'm not sure they'd have even resumed it.
