I wouldn’t put it past Horner and co, but the most likely reason would be the fact one rookie and one other guy with a point to prove in a sister team are starting way further up than usual, in the wet. Chances of Norris tip toeing a little, them reacting to that and thinking **** it and shoving the nose in - is all quite likely.
A couple of hungry younger drivers wanting to take an opportunity from a good starting position is a world removed from Horner instructing a sister team to deliberately ruin a title rivals race by hitting him in T1.

I almost want to see it now, just to see what the reaction would be… For everyone’s sake, we need to hope it doesn’t. We would never ever hear the end of it.

I can honestly see max just scything through the field and minimizing the loss. That being said I get the feeling there could be plenty of more drama to come.

I'm not sure why RB are moaning so much if I'm honest, it's just the way the cookie crumbles sometimes, people lose out on red flags all the time, just happens to be them this time.

Same potential end result though. Makes it quite likely. I’m not going to go back on that statement, I wouldn’t put it past Horner and co. Someone should keep an eye on who Liam, Yuki and their managers are talking to before the race ;)

This race is going to take up our whole day ain’t it :D

I think it could be fun to watch Max but Red Bull and Horner have every right to have an opinion. I'm sure if it had happened to Mclaren or Mercedes the reaction in here would have been very different.

Someone needs to get Max counting to 10 and slowly breathing before the race start. He'll be able to rectify this mostly if he just takes it steady I'd still expect him to get into the top 6.

Problems are gonna come if he goes out like a bear with a sore head in the first 10 laps trying Leroy Jenkins get out of my way moves on everyone. I think he's experienced enough by now though and with one eye on the championship enough not to do that!

It’s Red Bull, it’s what they do. Blame everything else whenever they can.

Nice expression:D Realistically I’m sure he’ll get past most fairly easily, even Hamilton if his car is not behaving. Hopefully Piastri is going to be out to good use stopping him. It’s as critical as Lando winning today really.

I think the same argument would be applied though, don't have any fast laps banked in dodgy conditions then it's kind of on you.

I find it perplexing this drop in performance. I don't think Mercedes are giving him a different car so what is going on?
I guess maybe even if you aren't deliberately checking out it's probably hard for a 7 time world champ who has nothing really to play for this season (and has an exciting move coming up) not to take his eye off the ball a bit.

Imagine at this level dropping a few percent is enough.

Talking of Lewis, he's really checked out now it seems.
I wouldn't say checked out, the car was all over the place. Oversteer, understeer, aquaplaning. At no point did it look even vaguely like a driveable car. And at the point that they found that out, there's nothing they can do to rectify it other than tyre pressures and front wing flap settings.
