Best place to see any race start time updates is here:

The FIA Stewards/Race Control upload all official documents here as they are sent out to the teams/media.

I wouldn't say checked out, the car was all over the place. Oversteer, understeer, aquaplaning. At no point did it look even vaguely like a driveable car. And at the point that they found that out, there's nothing they can do to rectify it other than tyre pressures and front wing flap settings.

Hmm but Russell consistently out qualifiers him

I can honestly see max just scything through the field and minimizing the loss. That being said I get the feeling there could be plenty of more drama to come.

I'm not sure why RB are moaning so much if I'm honest, it's just the way the cookie crumbles sometimes, people lose out on red flags all the time, just happens to be them this time.

It's RB it's what they do

Talking of Lewis, he's really checked out now it seems.

I believe he's in the 'new spec' car and Russell is in the old spec one because of previous accidents - apparently Hamilton asked to go back to the old spec car but Mercedes refused. Doesn't seem like the upgrades have worked at all, quite the opposite as I think Russell didn't want the new spec one either..

I doubt they had a setup much different to Russell's though, his car equally looked unstable. Hamilton is a master at driving in wet conditions but I'm not referring to just this one weekend.

I’d be all for qualifying being like this all the time, IF it was on Saturday. I’ve never been a fan of sprint races, but even less of a fan now.

I'm not a huge fan of the sprints but I don't know why it would have made any odds, Qualifying would have been scheduled for the same wet period yesterday if it had been a normal weekend

Yeah, I can understant it from Merc's side tbf. They want to understand where the upgrades are working and where they aren't - and they aren't challenging for wins right now and basically 5/6 is all they can do.

I think Russell is still running the Silverstone spec floor and aero, so his car is quite a bit different.

Whilst that might be true and you could be right, I'll check, the different handling characteristics of the cars are less important in the wet.
