**Official 3D Mark 11 scores**

Twin Frozr III v2.

To be honest I'm more interested in triple screen performance than fighting it out for top 7950 dog spot :).

Shouldn't be hard to get top spot for CF7950s lol.
You should hopefully get near enough same score as me for CF in all fairness, my cards are both pretty shocking clockers. Now the 7950s seem to be <5% slower than the 7970s C4C...21k Graphics wont be that hard :L

Two cascades!!! Possibly a single stage or rotary and upto 3 x 1200w supplys!!! hmmmmmm not me!!!

Look on the bright side your not going to have to spend much to keep warm this winter.

8 Pack when w/cing a R4E mobo do you know how much cooling in the way of Rads it needs.

Cheers

chipset nowt, VRMS depends on Vcore. 1 x 12cm should easily be enough.

Sadly if your doing this because of throttling at high mhz / Vcore you will need to cool the fets under the board too.

Im not expecting it to perform much better than my current system, what I am after is a proper w/c system that runs a lot cooler than when I am using the H100.

I also want the w/cing for GPUs and will probably do that with the next generation.

My utimate goal with the system is to put an IB-E CPU in it when they launch until then I will be using an i7 3970x. It will be interesting to see if there are any differences between that and my current CPU.

I have not given much thought to anything in excess of 5.0ghz but if I did look at cooling the fets under the board would this be a big job and not practicle for normal use.

I know some people have placed a cut in the motherboard tray and a small fan at the back to cool these fets. The call is yours.

5.0ghz will be a good 24/7 clock I suspect and not all will do this.

Indeed.
On my Sabertooth i slapped a big black heatsink i pulled off the VRMs from an old Quadro onto the backplate of the VRM area using AS Adhesive, it's stuck solid but the temperatures plummeted a good 10c just by doing that.

Now on the RIVE the FETs are there with that same plate, seems odd that they didn't add anything for the RIVE.... but doing the same, plus a fan should help big time!!

^^^^ This helps CPU temps too as less heat soak into the socket area and CPU.

Due to limitations in cases they cant slap a decent sink on that side of the board sadly.

For nornal use I only run @4.0ghz, I only tend to oc up to 5.0ghz for things like this thread 99% of the time the CPU is @4.0ghz

Using a H100 to do the above is a real pain. Going to water even if there is no increase in performance it will be worth it because of the lower temps and possibly less vcore.

I run mine at 4.6GHZ day to day on 1.34 Vcore. Temps are great 45C idle and 62C max at full load.

Mine will hit 62C running Civ 5 @4.0ghz LOL

Sorry about high jacking your thread

Back with 3dmark11 when I get time I want to use my spare graphics card to run on my other PCs to see how it compares graphics score wise across different platforms.

Can I go back into the top 50 please - http://www.3dmark.com/3dm11/4807952

You certainly can and very nice chip :)

No problems at all. I like to see the talk of different settings/temps/chips/cards/results as I feel it is all relevant and helpfull to others :)
