**Official 3D Mark 11 scores**

We have 5ghz! Just need to do some fine tuning on the core, multiplier randomly dropped off in IBT, but progress at last. Hopefully have some P11K+ scores by the end of tonight.

Its good to hear. It must be almost time for you to update your signature.

I am also thinking as the GTX 660ti launched today how long it will take to get one of them on this thread.

The 660Ti might be an interesting one in this thread given how well the green team cards score. Especially given its direct price competition is the 7950.

I'll be having a more conservative 4.75ghz for 24/7 use, 5ghz (or 5.01 as it is) is currently needing 1.48v, I'm comfortable benching at a max of 1.52v, but its a tricky one to calculate with the amount of vdroop these giga x79 boards suffer from. The next step on the strap is ~5.2ghz, which I don't think I'll manage.

This is not an entry btw, just showing off my new physics score :)

In short, the overclocking headroom the new memory has given me has increased my physics score by nearly 2000 points :D

I'll be back with a clocked GPU shortly ;)

Nice. I will hold fire on editing then. Good luck bud :)

Trying but so far not so good, I had the reactor core thing removed, despite what every reviewer claims, this thing DOES make the difference.

I just crashed that hard 3dmark11 stopped opening, just had to re-install :p

Edit: update away gregster, had a page file related BSOD now 3dmark11 will not open at all :(

Edit 2: I give up for now (until the weekend) its looking like I'm going to need to re-install windows, got 3dmark11 running again by dumping the files in the x86 directory but it gave me a bsod durring the physics - at least I now know the potential I have in the CPU.

My latest score. I havent really pushed the i7 2700k as of yet, a very modest 4.2Ghz.

GTX 680s x 2 GPUs were set @ +135 core and +385 on the memory. I set the fans to 80% just so that the temps on the cards didnt go above 70c, infact the max temp i saw was 66c

This made the clock 1141, boosting to 1194 memory 1695

Well that 1090T is destroying my 3820 atm, got 3dm11 running again, only now my physics tests are running at around 3fps @ 4.75ghz.

Released +/- the same time as the first i7's.

3 FPS? that's not right, something very wrong there....

Anyway sadly its still AMD's most powerful CPU, and now 2 years old, or more,
Intel have moved up since then, AMD have gone into revers but to be fair the first new thing since the Thuban architecture is completely new and original.

Hopefully it will develop into something great as it matures.

Its looking like a problem with 3dMark11 its self rather than my overclock. Games run fine, cinebench runs fine, heaven runs fine...

Windows re-install tomorrow I think, its been acting up a little lately, a good thing USB installs take under 15mins :D

I do not know enough to go into extreme detail but this may help if you ask the right person.

This is what I found running my memory @2400 with very tight timmings and my cpu @5.0

@4.9 for the cpu and @2400 for the memory - no problem 3dmark11 ran

@5.0 for the cpu and @2400 for the memory - bsod on the physics tests

I found two ways around it

First was to loosen the memory timmings a bit but still run @2400

Second way was to keep the memory timmings tight and also run @2400 but I increased a couple of the memory voltages a tiny bit which worked.

The thing is I do not know a lot about ocing and I know nothing about i7 3820s or gigabyte mobos.

Possibly a registry corruption, get in there and manually remove everything futuremark you can find or maybe system restore would do the job for you?
