**Official 3D Mark 11 scores**

I think 2 weeks in Florida for the Mrs is probably the best upgrade option in the long run.:D

The other thing about these Titan cards is that I think nvidia will release something in the 7 series proper that will top its performance.

If it performs, I will get them :)

Get the Mrs pregnant, then kiss goodbye to A holiday and spontaneous upgrades :o

Never again. 2 Girls is enough.

Intel Xeon E3 1220 (SB)
4GB Mushkin Radioactive
GTX 670 Jetstream at around 1200mhz

My Physics score is up and down like a hooers kecks. 3Dmark really hates the Xeon :(

Either way it's still the world record for the CPU. Fastest score I can find with the same CPU and a 670 is 8600 odd.

Nice one and congrats :)

Nice jump in the GPU scores :)

Just noticed that 3D Mark is only reporting 2GB of memory for one of my cards and 1GB for the other. Some quirk of crossfire

Edit: Looking at a few other scores, it must be. Got a way to catch this person! http://www.3dmark.com/3dm11/5383909

Sadly no but if that kind of score was shown, I would want to see more details before adding. It could be LN2 cooled cards though, so maybe genuine.

To be fair the second card was a brown box refurb which died inside a few weeks (a shorting issue which was probably why the card was RMA'd in the first place), which was promptly replaced with a brand new sealed Lightning BE.

I can't really fault OcUK or MSi's handling of the warranty either. At best its a 10 working day (2 weeks give or take) turn around, at worst its 28 working days, though I was assured that it very very rarely takes longer then 7 - 10 days.

I was panicking earlier when gaming in 3D and seeing artifacts every where. I went back to older drivers and rechecked...Same thing. Thought I was in for an RMA headache (water cooled strip down), so decided to try each on their own and no probs. Realised my pump was on 1.5, so upped it to 3 and turned my fans on and problem solved.

Warmer temps outside today was enough to warm the water up quite quickly.

@ UKSoldierboy, deffo go for the Lightning, fantastic card and in this thread, Lightnings for AMD and Nvidia are the top scorers. (Not sure what 7970's 8 pack is using but the 680 was a Lightning).

Indeed pal that would be the most sensible thing to do....unfortunately i really had my head set on getting a 7970, ah decisions decisions:(
Would you say it's worth getting a 7950, and then getting a FX 8350? Or would i see a bigger difference going to an I5 setup?

I know nothing of AMD CPU's sorry bud. I understand your wanting a top card like a 7970 also. I was just looking at sensible (for a change) and the 7950 is sensible.

Your choice and your budget, so only you will choose what you want my friend :)
