Probably not with a single card, (gtx 670 wf). But ill be adding a second at some point. I reckon that the 920 would bottleneck two 670's in sli.

doesnt bottleneck my 690..

but depends what clock speed you were running i guess.

but have a look online. the benchmarks say it all. no difference really.

I had gtx 470's in sli previous to the 670, oc'd at 750mhz, current 670 is at 1320 core, 7586 memory. There were no problems with the 470's with the cpu at 4.0 or 4.2ghz. As i have two x58 rigs im gonna part with one of them. The sale of one will help to fund the purchase of the second 670. Hoping for 4.5/6ghz on the 3570k. Though apparently theyre a pretty hot running cpu once you up the voltage.

Gregster I know your going to be busy today but when you get a minute if you could update my score please.

I hope all goes well with your new card and monitors.

pgi947 you sugested I try for 10000 on physics for an i7 9xx cpu as you can see I managed a little bit better. There is still life in those cpus.

That is a nice score on the physics :)

Clock for clock thats not a million miles away from the 3770K/26/700K/3820. 4.5ghz with 2000mhz+ memory on one of those 9xx i7 chips I think we would even see 11K+ physics :D

My score with just the LN1 BIOS on the MSI lightning "Stock"

And this is my run on the LN2 BIOS with a small 300% Power target/123 GPU Offset/451 Mem Offset.

Overall I am pleased as punch with it and I can see a lot to give. Optima, what are your settings bud please? (what gave your scores)

So the LN2 bios actually does something on the 680 LTG??

Without a custom scripted version of AB-Extreme its pretty much useless on the 7970 version. With the 7970 version I've seen 1.8v core available amongst other crazy settings, just MSI doesn't want that power of destruction falling into the hands of the end user.

Edit: I really should play with the LN2 bios again, had a quick google and found some pushing 1.6v on the core, iirc my max theoretical limit atm is 1.37v.

TBH, I should have done a bench with the LN1 BIOS and with an overclock (I will do at some stage) as I can't say. I just pushed the volts to max and added a boost to the settings.

So long as the chip is good, it should be capable of more than normal because of the extra voltage.
