Cant you uninstall it?

Well I could do that, but it is a useful bit of software, so it seems stupid if the only way to disable it temporarily is to completely uninstall it. Surely there must be some way to turn it off just to run a benchmark once? I'm starting to think it might be to do with 3D mark 11, not Virtu MVP, because I accidently ran it with it on, and I got a score of 10.5k, but with everything off it came in at 8.2k (both came out saying that Hyperformance was on, but since there was a big drop in scores it would seem that Hyperformance was actually turned off for the second run- but 3D mark didn't think so..)

I did run Virtu MVP with my 680 and according to AB, I was getting over 120fps consistently but it felt jerky as hell, so I did a couple of benches and then uninstalled it. Maybe I was on a Z68 board and it didn't like it (My scores did though) or maybe it is early stages and not quite up to speed yet.

Either way, my comp runs better with out it.

Yeah, maybe it runs better with Z77, because it seems to help performance for me, without any issues I am aware of.

I had to do a hack to get it to work on my Z68 board and couldn't use the latest version (or could but CBA to do it). I can see a great potential in it though and a great boost to performance.

Yeah, I was about to say that I didn't think Z68 supported Virtu MVP, so I guess the fact it was a hacked version might account for the dodgy gaming performance. It works quite well for me, it gives the screen tearing free performance of using V-sync, without the stuttering and reduced performance that V-sync sometimes gives. I suppose you don't really need it so much, as you have adaptive V-sync, but for AMD card users it is pretty good.

Well I think it must be a problem of 3D Mark 11, because I have tried turning off every setting in the MVP control panel, and I've now also disabled HD 4000 graphics yet it still thinks I have Hyperformance turned on..

EDIT: 7950 TF3 at 1000/1400 on stock voltage, Virtu MVP uninstalled. Overclocking done using MSI Afterburner.

Scores added bud :) Do you think your scores are a little low or is that just me?

Edit: Virtu MVP does add a massive boost to the scores and does it feel smooth whilst gaming?

Good point. Others have 1100 on the core that I was looking at. You still score the same on the GPU as my EVGA 680 does on stock though :)

That's always a good thing :)
May have to do a bit more tweaking, my card has pretty low stock voltage (I see other 7950's with 1093mv stock) so I suppose I could try that and see what clocks I can get (I'm paranoid about overvolting my card :)) 1050MHz was stable for one run of heaven on stock voltage, but crashed the second time.

Plenty of guys here will help you if you are worried. Just don't go over 1.2V is my advice (on air). Take your time and back off if you start to see artifacts on the screen or any crashing.
