**Official 3D Mark 11 scores**

I find it weird how this bench favours Nvidia and GPU overclocks and yet the heaven thread prefers AMD and memory overclocks. Anybody know why the differences are there?

I find the settings used on the Heaven thread do favour AMD but if the settings are cranked up to maximum (increased workload per frame) it becomes more neutral.

I have also noticed with heaven and multi nvidia gpu setups that whatever settings I use I hit a wall at about 375 for max frames. It does not matter if I use the settings on the heaven 3 thread or if I turn off tessellation AA and AF completely and run at a very low resolution the max frame will not go above about 375. What I describe above is not the cpu bottlenecking as overclocking from 4.0 to 5.0ghz makes no difference. I have also noticed this with other peoples 3 way sli setups about 370 - 375 max for frames. For comparison I have seen trifire setups hitting 500 or more max fps.

What is interesting is using the following settings

Tessellation = Extreme
Anisotropy = 16x
AA = 8x
@ 2560 x 1600

I score 117 average frames per second and a trifire setup gets about 112 (yes the green team actually wins one just).

What would be interesting is seeing a single GTX 680 up against a HD 7970 at the above settings.

As to why 3dmark11 favours nvidia it probably uses more of the things you get when the settings are cranked up in heaven but thats only a guess.

(Futuremark is reading my CPU speed at the time of uploading the result aka not the correct speed run during the test)

Intel Core i7 3820 3.6GHz running with Turbo Boost at stock settings, GTX 670 2GB TriSLi all standard clocks.

You can never have too much money ;)

May be worth giving the dual cards their own results table as more entries are being submitted! What do you think?

I have been thinking about putting the top 50 for each and putting the rest under spoiler. Any ideas guys?

seems to be lower than my gpu score. hes only got the extra overall points due to a 5.1ghz cpu.

still nice though. :)

Its only the gpu score I take any notice of. That does not change much whatever cpu someone is using. Its nice to see the GTX 690s getting over 20000 on the gpu scores and giving the HD 7970 crossfire a hard time.:D

What clocks did you use on yours. The reason I interested is it is not easy for me to do a run with one card (the drivers are a nightmare I think Durzel has been finding that out). Its actually easier for me to disable sli and do a run on one core. Thats what that GTX 680 score for me in the single gpu chart is. Mine going round on one core at stock speeds.

Ah ok cool. I used 135 on the core and 435ish on the ram. If I recall correctly. Debating whether to get a waterblock for it. Not sure!

Yeah it's a great card for sure. None of the mess of two cards needed with the 680 and very power efficient!

Of course it's better for you with two of them ;)

Urghh, I can't seem to turn Virtu MVP off, I've turned off GPU virtualization, Hyperformance, Virtual VSync, I've unchecked the 3D Mark 11 box in the applications tab and finally I've also unchecked the H box next to 3D Mark 11. After all this, it still says 'This result is invalid as Virtu MVP HyperFormance was enabled. Please turn off Virtu MVP and re-run the benchmark'. How do I turn it off?
